By accessing or using WORTHIO ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

WORTHIO is a financial planning platform that provides:

• Personal finance tracking and dashboards
• Goal setting and progress monitoring
• Scenario-based retirement planning
• Asset and liability management
• Bank account integration (via Plaid)
• AI-powered financial insights
• Educational financial content

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Requirements

To use WORTHIO, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept all risks of unauthorized access

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding the password used to access the Service and for any activities under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

4.1 Free and Paid Plans

WORTHIO offers both free and paid subscription plans. Some features require a paid subscription.

4.2 Billing

• Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• All fees are quoted in US Dollars unless otherwise specified
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees

4.3 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next subscription period following the date of the price change. We will provide you with reasonable prior notice of any change in fees.

4.4 Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new paid subscriptions. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable. No refunds will be provided for partial months or unused features.

4.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access until then.

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use WORTHIO only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Violate any laws in your jurisdiction

By using our bank connection feature, you authorize us to access your financial account information through Plaid. You agree to Plaid's terms of service and privacy policy.

Payment processing is provided by Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by WORTHIO and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of all financial data and content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process it to provide the Service.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Pose a security risk to the Service

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Your data will be deleted within 90 days, except as required by law.

12. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@worthio.app.

12.2 Arbitration

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

12.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
